Clinical Pharmacology Services, located in Tampa, FL, is a private medical practice specializing in pharmacology and pharmacy practice. The practice was started by Dr. Daniel E. Buffington in 1991 delivering drug information support and medication consult services to assist patients, prescribers, healthcare facilities, insurers, and government agencies. Our services are designed to improve prescribing, health outcomes, and patient safety. They have expanded to include clinical research, medical education, and forensic pharmacology.

Daniel E. Buffington, PharmD, MBA, FAPhA

Dr. Buffington is the President and Practice Director at Clinical Pharmacology Services. He is also on faculty at the University of South Florida Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy.

He studied Biology & Biochemistry at the University of South Florida and received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from Mercer University. He also completed his postgraduate training including a Pharmacy Practice Residency and Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship at Emory University.

He has served in numerous leadership and Board-level roles in both State and National pharmacy associations. He represents pharmacists on the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Editorial Panel.

His interests include healthcare administration, professional practice models, practice resources for improving medication utilization and patient safety, healthcare service reimbursement, clinical research, and developing specialty analytic tools for emerging electronic medical record systems.

Aiya Almogaber, PharmD

Dr. Aiya Almogaber is a Clinical Pharmacologist and Toxicologist at Clinical Pharmacology Services. In addition to this role, she serves on the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy faculty.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degrees from the University of South Carolina. She completed postgraduate training, including  Executive Residency in Pharmacy Practice and Government Affairs at the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) in Washington, DC, and a Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship at Clinical Pharmacology Services in Tampa, FL.

Dr. Almogaber is interested in advancing pharmacy practice,  specialty training opportunities, and expanding the scope of pharmacists' roles in diverse healthcare settings. She is also focused on teaching and mentoring student pharmacists, nurturing the next generation of pharmacy professionals.
