Clinical Pharmacology Services, Inc (CPS), located in Tampa, FL, is a medical specialty practice that provides drug information, medication therapy management, and clinical research services. The practice was developed by Dr. Daniel E. Buffington, in 1990 and has continued to evolve to provide clinical support for patient, physicians, healthcare facilities and pharmaceuticals with an emphasis on optimizing health outcomes related to medication therapy while also helping to reduce or avoid unwanted side effects.
Dr. Buffington has served on the faculty of the University of South Florida College of Medicine since 1991. In addition, he serves as a faculty member and preceptor for clinical rotation site for medical, pharmacy and nursing students and residents.
CPS is a nationally recognized practice model that provides a functional platform for collaboration between the patient, practitioners and insurers to improve medication therapy management.
The practice provides consultative support for pharmaceutical manufacturers, hospital, managed care plans, government agencies and patient support organizations.
